New Irish Acts in Eurosonic Line Up
The Dutch festival announces even more top class bands, with plenty of homegrown talent...
The Eurosonic 2012 festival is set to be a jam packed affair, with international bands wielding a range of musical instruments. Among the latest confirmed acts are Northern Irish quintet Cashier No. 9 (pictured), electronic-rockers Jape and Irish band We Cut Corners. They join folk-pop goddess Lisa Hannigan in waving the alternative music flag for Ireland.
Also announced are acts from Belgium, France, UK, Finland and Denmark: Addicted Kru Sound, Baxter Dury, Intergalactic Lovers, Lay Low, Old Jerusalem, Olivia Pedroli, Reptile & Retard, Sizarr, Talking to Turtles and We Were Evergreen - to colourfully name but a few. The festival spans from January 11 to 14 and is held in the city centre of Groningen.
