The Fall will be available as a free download on Christmas Day
Having well and truly sewn up the title of Hardest Working Man In Music, Damon Albarn now seems keen on getting the title of Most Generous.
With Plastic Beach, his latest meisterwerk with Gorillaz, scarcely out nine months, Albarn has announced plans for another album release from the virtual band. Best of all, it will come in the form of a free download available on December 25. A pretty nice Christmas present. Here's a new teaser for the album:

The Fall will be available to download from the official Gorillaz website, with a physical release to follow in 2011.
Albarn says the album was born out of boredom. “I did it because there's a lot of time that you just spend staring at walls essentially. And it was a fantastic way of doing it. I found working in the day, whether it's in the hotel or in the venue, it was a brilliant way of keeping myself well."
"It's like a diary, I literally wrote everything on the day in each place and there's a strange sort of sound of America and it's musical traditions that comes through. It feels like a journey through America."
