Netflix to support the return of Gilmore Girls
The adventures of Lorelai and Rory Gilmore will continue in 90-minute episodes
Fans of the favourite mother-daughter drama can rejoice because the iconic Gilmore Girls is coming back to the small screen.
Netflix will be releasing new 90-minute original instalments of the popular American program.
According to a number of entertainment publications in the United States, Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel will be returning to play the parts of their original characters, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore.
The mother-daughter duo is one of the most adored on television, and fans can now look forward to their relationship continuing.
The original series ended in 2007, and as previously reported, fans were not all too impressed with the finale.
The show's original creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, was not involved in the development of the seventh and final season, and even expressed some remorse over how the series had ended.
"It's always a bummer when you don't get to end it. I had hoped maybe that there would have been a call, 'Hey it's the last episode, do you want to come back?' And there wasn't. But that's OK, that's not the way it works in Hollywood where there are rules," Sherman-Palladino told The Hollywood Reporter a few months ago.
Netflix has also announced the release for new series of Black Mirror and Full House.
