Indie-folk singer Nell Mescal releases her first track of 2025 via Atlantic Records.
Maynooth native singer-songwriter Nell Mescal has unveiled her latest demo, 'Thin'.
Following strong responses from fans to clips of the track on social media and live performances, Mescal released the single early as she works on her next big release.
'Thin' marks the indie-folk musician's first new music since her debut EP Can I Miss It For A Minute, and her first release since signing to Atlantic Records.
"'Thin' is about body image and equating what you look like to what your worth is when it comes to love," Mescal said. "It was a really difficult song to write and to confront, and comes from all my darkest and most untrue thoughts about myself."

"The ultimate message of the song and what I hope people get from listening to it is that these thoughts aren't true; but that doesn't make the emotions any less real and that you are enough as you are," she added.
With recent sold-out headline shows in New York, Mescal gears up for a summer of strong festival appearances, including Leeds Festival, Reading Festival and a support slot for British pop icon Robbie Williams at Come Together Festival.
