Neil Innes to lead Beatles celebration
'Seventh Python' gearing up for Dublin Beatles Festival.
The legacy of the Fab Four will be celebrated once again in the capital, as the Dublin Beatles Festival kicks off next week.
Running November 7-9, the three day extravaganza will feature music, art, film and talks, including an appearance by the iconic Neil Innes. The man affectionately known as the 'Seventh Python' due to his work with Messrs Cleese, Idle and co. will be in conversation with Tom Dunne at the Twisted Pepper on the Sunday at 5pm, reflecting on his involvement with Beatles parody band The Rutles and performing an acoustic set of some of his most popular songs.
Other highlights include performances from the likes of Vivienne Long and The Statics, a display of Beatle portraits by the renowned artist Georgina Flood, and even a Beatles table quiz for all aficionados of the band to test just how much they know!
