David Bowie final project discovered in his study
The notes can be viewed in The Bowie Centre, at the V&A Museum opening on September 13
David Bowie's final project was discovered locked away in his New York office, containing notes for an 18th Century themed musical called The Spectator, as exclusively reported by the BBC.
As his study always remained locked, the notes were left undisturbed. They were found pinned to the wall as the singer left them, when archivists began cataloging his work.
The project was discovered at his study in 2016, after Bowie's death, and was unknown to any of his collaborators.
The notes have been donated to the V&A Museum in London and can be viewed by fans with the rest of his archive, when the Bowie Centre opens on September 13.
The unfinished project highlights Bowie's interest in the theatre and the art and society of 18th Century London, dedicating an entire notebook to the work.
The work also focused on the aspect of notorious crime within London, detailing stories of criminal gangs.
The 'Life On Mars' singer's last work Blackstar came out days before his passing from cancer in 2016. The album bids farewell to the beloved Bowie and delves into his interpretation of his own mortality.
