Na Fianna, John Spillane and Corner Boy among Kilkenny TradFest additions
Final details of the music programme have been revealed, with more than 85 free gigs across the city.
Kilkenny TradFest returns next month, and a raft of additions to the line-up have been unveiled.
With the likes of Hothouse Flowers, Kila, Colm Mac Con Iomaire and Iarla Ó Lionáird already on the bill, the March 16-20 event was already looking good, but the Marble City Spectacular is now approaching unmissable.
Celtic rockers Na Fianna (pictured) are among those added to proceedings as part of the Bulmers Music Trail, and they'll set up shop for a four-night residency at Lanigan’s late bar on Rose Inn Street from Wednesday. Not to be outdone, Away with the Fairies will make it five nights at Matt The Millers on John Street.
Wexford quartet Corner Boy will make sure the whole thing gets off to a cracking start with an opening night show at Paris Texas, while Cork's finest John Spillane doubles up on the Friday with shows at Rafter Dempsey’s and the Kilkenny Hibernian Hotel.
Leonard Barry Trio and Maitiú Ó Casaide and friends are also among the 85 acts who'll be strutting their stuff throughout the city - for the full breakdown, visit [link]kilkennytradfest.com[/link].
