Music For Sleeping Children
Audio visual experiments don’t come much weirder or much more wonderful than Music For Sleeping Children, a uniquely bizarre project from visual artist Charlie White and Neon Neon producer Boom Bip. Born out of White’s obsession with teen culture, it marries the words of American high-school girls, gleaned through a series of in-depth interviews, to club-ready pop, disco and hip hop beats. Available as a free five-track download, each song is matched by an equally surreal music video, which you can watch at the below address. Clueless meets Chromeo on ‘Georgia’, the project’s irresistible stand-out track, while ‘Sabrina’ is a dark and thought-provoking number in vein of Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Sunscreen’. Check it out here.
