Muse announce details of new album Drones
They play Belfast this Sunday and a new album is on the way in June.
Exciting news for Irish fans of Muse this morning with the announcement of their surprise Ulster Hall show (tickets to which sold out in milliseconds, needless to say) and now we have full details of their next release.
Entitled Drones, the Devon lot's seventh studio album has been co-produced by the band and Mutt Lange, and drops in Ireland on June 5.
First single 'Dead Inside' lands on the week of March 23. Before that, album track 'Psycho' will become available on their Youtube channel from 6pm today. Here's the full track listing:
1. Dead Inside
2. [Drill Sergeant]
3. Psycho
4. Mercy
5. Reapers
6. The Handler
7. [JFK]
8. Defector
9. Revolt
10. Aftermath
11. The Globalist
12. Drones
Matt Bellamy said of the album title and themes: "To me, 'Drones' are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behaviour with no recourse. The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. This album explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors."
