MTV's 'Catfish' Star Accussed Of Sexual Misconduct
MTV has now suspended the show following claims made against its star, Nev Schulman.
In a series of YouTube video statements, Ayissha Morgan, who appeared on the show in 2015, has alleged that Schulman had sexually harassed her during the making of the show.
But Schulman is denying the allegations. "I’m fortunate that there are a number of former colleagues who were present during this time period who are willing to speak up with the truth," he said in a statement.
"I have always been transparent about my life and would always take responsibility for my actions—but these claims are false.”
A spokesperson for MTV said: "We take these allegations very seriously. We’re working with Critical Content, our third party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation, and we’ve put a pause on shooting until the investigation is completed.”
Schulman has presented Catfish: The TV Show for seven seasons since 2012. He's also the show’s executive producer.
