Eclectic English Band Plays in Dublin on 12 December
The Moulettes will likely be playing off their newest album, Preternatural, at Whelan's this December. Lead singer and songwriter Hannah Miller says the album was inspired by an article in New Scientist about the discovery of a microscopic creature that lives miles underground. “It made me think about how much we still don’t know about the planet we live on… the moving space between what we do know, and what is unknowable,” says Miller. “The animal kingdom holds such a wealth of beauty, creativity, humour, ingenuity and artistry- we wanted to celebrate it, underline its fragility, to hold up a mirror and compare our own species to others.”
Brighton-based ensemble, Moulettes, is an Art Rock band made up entirely of multi-instrumentalists. The group uses both acoustic and electric instruments to create a unique mix of prog, pop, alt-folk and rock.
