Mongoose & friends for Whelan's
The ladies are hosting quite the evening next month.
Thursday November 19 sees eclectic acoustic quartet Mongoose take over famous the Wexford Street venue of Whelan's for an evening of music and poetry with some of their favourite acts.
Under the theme of 'Winter Longing', not only will we get a performance from the Dublin-based quartet, whose musical melting pot of folk, jazz, folk and more has been nearing them plenty of attention of late, but also appearances from The Young Folk, Griff, Ian Bermingham, Dimitra Xidous, Niamh Regan, and Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin.
In line with Mongoose's single, 'Slow-Burning Feeling' (taken from their debut album, which was launched at a sold-out Sugar club show in the summer), the event will explore unrequited love and yearning in the depths of Irish winter.
Tickets are €12 (€10 for students) from WAV Tickets.
