METROPOLIS 2017: Four New Acts Announced as TLC Forced To Pull Out
Exciting new acts added to Metropolis as T-Boz back injury rules out 'No Scrubs' American girl group.
Richie Hawtin, Jungle, Adam Beyer, Mount Kimbie and more are still set to raise the roof of Dublin’s RDS this October Bank Holiday Sunday as R&B group TLC unfortunately pull from the festival rescheduling their UK Tour due to a back injury suffered by Tionne Watkins aka T Boz.
Metropolis have wasted no time in ensuring the Sunday line up is as stellar as before, announcing four acts to bolster the day:
1. Todd Terje
The Norweigan disco don recently released Maskindans, the first single from his forthcoming (as yet un-named) album. He brings is mixing and lively set to the RDS.
2. DJ Jazzy Jeff
The West Philadelphia born and raised' DJ who partnered Will Smith on the Fresh Prince soundtrack will bring his silky skills and turntable magic to light up crowds with tracks suc as 'Boom! Shake the Room,' and 'Summertime'.
3. Denis Sulta
The up and coming Glaswegian talent arrives with his unique brand of music that has led to him being dubbed the ‘next best thing’, winning Breakthrough British Producer at the DJ Mag Awards 2016 and earning the #26 spot on the celebrated Resident Advisor Top 100 DJs poll. His mixing and selection skills will make this a set not to miss.
4. Mall Grab
The Australian DJ described as ‘the poster boy of the blossoming lo-fi house sound' will be bouncing with his other worldly beats and funky mixes. Check out B.F.O.D.A.A.S here:
Ticket prices for Sunday will remain at €69.50 and will not increase to the final tier of €79.50, as has been the case in previous years.
