Megan Fox to Star in New Girl

Deschanel is scheduled to be away on maternity leave for half of season five, and in order to supplement for her character’s absence, Fox will introduce a new character into the show.
Fox’s character, Reagan, is a pharmaceutical sales rep, and will temporarily move into the fictional loft with TV characters Nick, Schmidt, Winston and Coach.
According to the Hollywood source, Movie Pilot, the responses to Deschanel’s character replacement have been extremely negative thus far. Many do not think that Fox has the comedic ability to replace Deschanel’s character, while others believe that the dynamics of the series will be forever changed.
Despite objections, the executive producer of the series, Liz Meriweather, believes that Fox is the perfect replacement for the role.
“It’s insane to me that such a gorgeous person can be so funny, but I guess we just all have to accept it… I’m so excited to have her on the show, “said Meriweather. “We had Megan in mind when we wrote this part – she’s the perfect person to come in and shake these guys up.”
