MayKay announces debut solo single 'Busted'

Fight Like Apes' MayKay has announced her debut solo single 'Busted', set to release September 12.

"After years of great bands and deadly collaborations, I’ve finally done the solo thing," said the artist on an Instagram post.

"It’s been a long time coming!"

MayKay was recently announced as part of the line up for Electric Picnic's Fish Town where she will perform with Jerry Fish.

The two have joined forces on numerous tracks for Jerry Fish's album Dreaming Of Daniel.

In addition to her numerous collaborations, the artist was a member of Fight like Apes.

The alternative rock band formed in Dublin in 2006 and have been nominated for several music awards including Best Irish Band at the 2008 and 2009 Meteor Music Awards.
