Mary Stokes Band to open for Joanne Shaw Taylor
At a Whelan's show this Saturday.
The Mary Stokes Band will be onstage in the famous Dublin venue of Whelan's this Saturday, November 21, guesting with internationally acclaimed blues singer and guitar-slinger Joanne Shaw Taylor.
It comes as Stokes and co are experiencing a great response to latest, Stano-produced single 'Mattie Won't Write'. They are also fresh from a run of successful gigs at last month's Guinness Cork Jazz Festival and raring to go in Dublin.
"I am really looking forward to playing again in Whelan's," says Mary, "and especially meeting and hearing Joanne Shaw Taylor – another woman in the blues, should be a great night!"
The Mary Stokes Band are onstage at 8pm, before the main event at 9pm.
