Maija Sofia’s upcoming Workman’s Club show will be split into two
Limited tickets remain for 7:30pm show from singularartists.ie.
Due to restrictions, Galway folk singer-songwriter Maija Sofia has split her upcoming show at The Workman’s Club this Thursday, 9th December into two shows.
The first gig will take place at 7.30PM, while the second performance is scheduled for 9.30PM. Those who have purchased tickets should be contacted by their ticket provider with time details.
Speaking about the events this Thursday, Maija says; “Hi everyone, thank you so much for your patience with this show, in light of all the government's constant chopping and changing the only way we can go ahead is to split it into two shows as we currently can't have more than 50% capacity in the room.
"I know some of you bought tickets over a year ago (!) and I'm so grateful, I'm really excited to play for you, in the two whole years since my last Dublin show I've written a whole new album and I can't wait to get to play some of those songs live for the first time with my band on Thursday. Thanks for all your understanding and see you then, Maija x”
The Trinity College Dublin graduate released her first EP, sentient light, in 2014 before sharing The Sugar Sea EP the following year.
Sofia's 2019 debut album Bath Time was described as "a collection of songs exploring the female experience throughout art, history and folklore". The project was nominated for the Choice Music Prize.
