Magnetic Fields for the Olympia
Stephin Merritt reconvenes with Magnetic Fields for one night in October
The maverick genius that is Stephin Merritt – no, his first name is not a tipagrophical orror! – reunites with the rest of Magnetic Fields for an October 31 show in the Dublin Olympia.
They come armed with i, their seventh album in a career that dates back to 1990 and includes such critics' faves as Distant Plastic Trees and 69 Love Songs. If you've never head them before (shame on you!), think the Pet Shops crossed with Cole Porter, Morrissey and Oscar Wilde.
