Madra Salach debut at No.3 on Irish Albums Chart with It's A Hell Of An Age
Their EP also debuted at No. 1 on the Irish Independent Albums chart.
Madra Salach’s new EP, It’s a Hell of an Age, has premiered at No. 3 on the Irish Album Charts, and No.1 on the Irish Independent Album charts.
The EP includes both of the band’s previous singles, ‘Blue & Gold’ and ‘I Was Just A Boy’, as well as 3 new songs.
Madra Salach’s music is known for blending traditional Irish music with more modern, experimental flares.
“It’s about change,” vocalist Paul Banks said in an interview with The Line of Best Fit. “The music that we’re making is inherently a juxtaposition baked in, because it’s traditional but also forward facing.”
It’s a Hell of an Age debuted at No. 3 on the Irish Album charts. Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving claimed the No.1 spot this week, knocking Zach Bryan’s With Heaven on Top down to No. 2. It’s a Hell of a Ride displaced last week’s No. 3, Kingfishr’s Halcyon, to the No. 4 spot. Rounding out the top five is Fleetwood Mac’s 50 Years - Don’t Stop, which has been in the charts for 373 weeks.
It’s a Hell of an Age debuted at No. 1 on the Irish Independent Albums chart. Behind it are two more new albums, Megadeth, by Megadeth, and How Did I Get Here?, by Louis Tomlinson, in the 2 and 3 spots respectively.
The album is out now, and Madra Salach will be on tour in Ireland this spring.
