Like the first Longevity release, this breathes new life into Detroit’s narrowly defined techno sound. On ‘The Ritual’, Bone works vocal chants, woodwind sounds and a beefy bassline into a dense, tribal arrangement, while ‘Ahnne Smiled’ eschews 4/4 beats for a fusion of shimmering chords, jazzy keys and rhythms.
