Young described the upcoming project on social media as “my ode to self-sabotage, my chance to claw myself back from the edge of defeat.”
Lola Young has unveiled details of her third album I’m Only F**king Myself.
The South London singer will release her highly-anticipated new record on September 19 via Island/Day One. You can pre-save/pre-order the album here.
Produced by longtime collaborators Manuka and SOLOMONOPHONIC (known for work with Doja Cat and SZA), Young described the upcoming project on social media as “my ode to self-sabotage, my chance to claw myself back from the edge of defeat.”
The release follows her 2024 debut album This Wasn’t Meant For You Anyway, which featured the breakout viral hit ‘Messy’.
Young has already offered a glimpse of what’s to come with the recent single ‘One Thing’. She described the track as a celebration of sex as something playful and casual, while also challenging traditional gender roles.
Ahead of the release of I’m Only F**king Myself, Young is set to drop her brand new single ‘Not Like That Anymore’ this Friday, June 20. Teasing the track on social media, she sings over a vibrant backing: “And I got a little kick out of declining your call / I guess that means I don’t need your dick at all / And so I’m fucking myself, but not like that anymore.”

The rising star has been staying busy in recent weeks, joining Billie Eilish as an opening act on the Paris stops of her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour and taking the stage at London’s Wembley Stadium for Capital FM’s Summertime Ball.
Upon releasing ‘One Thing’ in May, the track peaked at No. 19 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, marking her second top 20 to date, following the stratospheric success of 2024’s 'Messy'.
The track enjoyed a slow-burning ascent to the top of the U.K. charts, eventually claiming the No. 1 spot in January—eight months after its initial release. It held strong for four consecutive weeks and cracked the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 14. With more than 600 million Spotify streams under its belt, the breakout hit has catapulted Young onto some of the world’s biggest stages, including Coachella and Glastonbury, which she performs next weekend.
