Promising NY rapper Angel Haze is gearing up for the release of her debut album Dirty Gold in October. We've already heard 'No Bueno', now today we get 'A Tribe Called Red', another example of her dexterous lyricism.

The machine-gun mouthed rapper took time out of a busy studio session back in January to catch up with Hot Press.

In an honest and open interview with Stuart Clark, Haze speaks about the track that first brought her to the attention of Hot Press – 'Cleaning Out My Closet' a painfully honest account of the abuse the Detroit native suffered as a kid.

"It scared the living shit out of me and I cried when I was making it. I was like, 'God, is this going to fracture me again like it did when it happened?' I was petrified putting it out there, but when I did I felt really empowered."
