"Calling out the violence of the racist police/We ain't gonna stop 'til people are free"
In response to the police shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, Samuel L. Jackson and several hip-hop big names have shared 'I Can't Breathe'.
In his spoken word intro, Jackson challenges his fellow celebrities to speak out against police violence. He also sings the song's hook.
The track features Talib Kweli, KRS-One, Sticky Fingaz of Onyx, Brother J, and Mad Lion, who also produced the track.
The song's title comes from Eric Garner's last words. Garner was suffocated to death by police officers in July 2014. As he was being killed, he repeated "I can't breathe" eleven times before he died. The phrase has since become a rallying cry for social activists.
Eric Garner's family also shared a track called 'I Can't Breathe' recently. Both tracks can be heard below.
