Listen: Anohni's 4 Degrees
Listen to the artist formerly known as Antony Hegarty's new song '4 Degrees'.
Co-produced by in demand producers Hudson Mohawke and Oneohtric Point Never, '4 Degrees' sees Anohni take a new direction towards a darker, more twisted electronic sound.
Describing the forthcoming new album Hopelessness as "as different as could be from my previous work" and "an electronic record with some sharp teeth", Anohni is not backing down from any of the political issues that are always so close to his work.
'4 Degrees' deals with the increase in the temperature of the Earth projected by scientists to happen by the end of the century and the frightening prospects that this will have on the Earth.
Releasing a statement with the song's release, Anohni stated, "In solidarity with the climate conference in Paris, giving myself a good hard look, not my aspirations but my behaviors, revealing my insidious complicity. It's a whole new world. Let’s be brave and tell the truth as much as we can."
