Lisa O'Neill announces December show at Vicar Street
O'Neill is currently working on material for her upcoming album
Lisa O'Neill has announced she will return to Dublin's Vicar St. to play a gig on December 21.
This comes after O'Neill's recent sold-out residencies in the Gate Theatre and Pavilion Theatre, as well as a main stage performance at All Together Now.
The Cavan artist will perform with The Pogues as a special guest for their US dates in September. Following this she will continue intimate theatre performances around Ireland in November.
This year O'Neill released a single featuring with Peter O'Doherty of The Libertines, 'Homeless In The Thousands,' a song about the growing issue of homelessness in Dublin.
The singer is known for writing about social injustices with songs like 'Rock The Machine' about unemployment in the Docklands, and 'Violet Gibson' about the Irish woman who attempted to assassinate Mussolini in 1926.
O'Neill is currently working on her next album but details have yet to be released.
Tickets to the December Vicar St. gig will go on sale September 5 and can be bought here.
