Like Comedy
Scottish twins still on top
It’s two-and-a-half decades on from the release of The Proclaimers’ first record This Is The Story. Well, the good news is that on album number nine, Like Comedy Scottish twins Craig and Charlie Reid prove that they haven’t lost their knack for crafting an infectious tune or three. Never veering too far away from a winning formula that has earned them both acclaim and cult status, Like Comedy is the sound of a band doing what they do best. Packed full of countless harmonies and hook-laden choruses, the waltzing ‘Spinning Around In The Air’ and album opener ‘Whatever You’ve Got’ are as good as anything they’ve written during their career.
