Some of Ireland’s most renowned musicians have joined forces to launch the New Café Orchestra with a show at the National Concert Hall in Dublin on 13 November.
The collective carries the musical legacy of The Café Orchestra, who entertained audiences in the 1990s.
After honing their new sound with shows in Catalonia and Eastern Europe, the group celebrates the realms of Jazz, World and Folk music with a special night of sonic celebration in Dublin.
Featuring will be the violin sounds of Oleg Ponomarev (Loyko/Koshka), combining with the guitar of Drazen Derek (The Café Orchestra, The Chieftains) and evoking Reinhardt and Grappelli.

The stunning vocal scope of singer Simon Morgan, and theatricality of Vocalist Lou Van Laake ensure a visually engaging show, as Irish Jazz legend Cormac O Brien (Louis Stewart, Mary Coughlan) leads the rhythm section on Double Bass.
With a host of very special guests expected to appear- the night promises beautiful sounds that celebrate the joy of music and collaboration.
