Lankum announce streamed Abbey Theatre show + take Spotify CEO Daniel Ek to task over musician comments
"It's like nothing we have attempted before," say the Dublin folk outfit
Lankum have announced details of a special show that will be streamed live from the stage of Dublin's Abbey Theatre on Saturday August 15. Tickets to watch on your device of choice are available priced €12 from https://dice.fm/artist/lankum-5ynw
Titled A National Disgrace, the Dublin folk merchants describe it as "like nothing we have attempted before."
They've also made a somewhat combative contribution to the debate sparked by Spotify CEO Daniel Ek who said last week that musicians "can’t record music once every three to four years and think that’s going to be enough." He's already been told to "go fu*k yourself!" by R.E.M.'s Mike Mills and had veteran rocker David Crosby call him something rather unpleasant.
