Lana Del Rey pays tribute to Leonard Cohen
Leonard's son, Adam, has also sent a message to fans.
Lana Del Rey has joined the avalanche of friends and celebrity admirers paying tribute to Leonard Cohen.
“I'd be lying if I said it didn't kind of break my heart that I never got to tell you how much you changed me,” she writes. "“Not that it would’ve mattered to ya, it’s just that other than Bob and Joan you were the only person I ever really felt spoke my language. I love you as a real fan and I always looked for a little bit of you in all of my future friends. God bless.”
Meanwhile, Leonard’s son Adam, who produced his Irish chart-topping You Want It Darker album, has taken to Facebook to say: “My sister and I just buried my father in Montreal. As I write this I’m thinking of my father’s unique blend of self-deprecation and dignity, his approachable elegance, his charisma without audacity, his old-world gentlemanliness and the hand-forged tower of his work. There’s so much I wish I could thank him for, just one last time.”
