Lady Gaga has shared her latest song titled 'The Dead Dance' for Tim Burton's Netflix Wednesday.
The singer released the song on Wednesday, September 3, to coincide with the release of the second half of season 2 of the show.
The music video depicts Gaga among abandoned dolls in forest, very apt for the eerie vibes of Wednesday.
Gaga will also make an appearance in the second half of the season, taking on the role of Rosaline Rotwood.
“The inspiration for ‘The Dead Dance’ was a breakup, and it was all about the way that we sometimes feel when it’s over; how a relationship ending can kill our ability to feel hopeful about love," Gaga said, according to Rolling Stone. "It’s got this really cool, funky beat underneath it. And that is when the song becomes not just about the relationship; it becomes about having fun with your friends when you’ve been through something tough and amazing. I can’t wait for people to listen to it."
Despite her role in the show being short, Gaga expressed she had a "wonderful time working on Wednesday season two".
Aside from working on the show, Gaga is currently on the North American leg of her Mayhem Ball tour where she announced last night she would have to cancel her Miami show due to vocal strain.
Lady Gaga will bring her Mayhem Ball tour to Europe at the end of the month, however, there is no Irish date on the calendar.
