Lab Results
Lab Results is a remix collection of AtJazz's debut album from last year, and, though many of the remixes don't stray far from the Mantis blueprint, there are a number of interesting deviations
Mantis has established itself as a purveyor of deep, jazzy house, with artists like AtJazz providing a sophisticated and musical alternative to prevailing and bland 4/4 thud.
Lab Results is a remix collection of AtJazz’s debut album from last year, and, though many of the remixes don’t stray far from the Mantis blueprint, there are a number of interesting deviations, most notably Brook’s Euro tinged house re-interpretation of ‘Day 2001’, French duo Chateau Flight’s electro mix of ‘It’s Complete’ and the Latino percussive groove of Little Big Bee’s treatment of ‘Harmony’. As polished as the rest of the label back catalogue, ‘Lab Results’ is also more diverse.
