Kormac announces retrospective show at National Concert Hall following soundtrack success
Tickets for Kormac's Always the Sound - A Retrospective are on sale now via NCH.ie.
Irish composer, producer and DJ Kormac has announced a retrospective show in The National Concert Hall (NCH) following a busy year soundtracking popular series such as Now TV's The Diplomat and, more recently, BBC's This Town.
Kormac will perform his 'Always The Sound: A Retrospective' show in The National Concert Hall on 30th March. The gig is also in collaboration with the Irish Chamber Orchestra and a host of special guests such as Loah, Jack O' Rourke, Shahab & Shayan, MayKay, Claire Young, G.I. and many more.
Over a career spanning 15 years, two albums, countless live shows and major TV and film soundtracks, the Dublin native has honed his craft, infusing organic sounds into wide-screen electronica while working alongside a plethora of venerated artists across a range of media. Now, with a forthcoming celebration of 15 years in the scene, Kormac excitedly anticipates a dazzling night at NCH.
“My most recent album, Equivalent Exchange, was actually written with the National Concert Hall in mind," the artist says. "Equivalent Exchange was the first body of work I’d written that used an orchestra on every track and I visited the hall every week for over a year watching any orchestra I could, learning as much as possible."
"Over that period, I really fell in love with the room. When it came time to mix the album, I tried to make it sound as if the listener was sitting right in the centre of row four.”
Tickets for 'Always The Sound: A Retrospective' start from €30 and are on sale now via NCH.ie.
