KK Lewis to play tonight's Hot Press Lockdown Sessions
Catch her live-streamed performance tonight on the Hot Press Instagram.
Ahead of the release of her debut single 'Loop Now', we're delighted to announce KK Lewis as the latest artist on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions – with a live performance at 7.3opm tonight, April 23, on the Hot Press Instagram.
Initially building up a following as a busker on Grafton Street, KK proved her star power with her sold-out debut headliner in The Workman's Club, Dublin last year. She's also made acclaimed appearances at Electric Picnic and Kaleidoscope as well as iconic Dublin venues like Whelan's, The Smock Alley Theatre and The Sound House.
With videos of her performances clocking up almost half a million views to date, and plans to release an EP in the coming months, 2020 is set to be a landmark year for KK.
On Friday, April 24, she is set to release her debut single, 'Loop Now' – a reflection on teen years, social pressures and growing up – while drawing influence from the legendary likes of Amy Winehouse , Etta James and Sam Cooke, as well as Biig Piig and Joy Crookes.
Throughout the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions, our star-studded line-up will be taking over the Hot Press Instagram account (@hotpressmagazine), and live-streaming performances from their homes around the world directly to your phone.
We encourage everyone who enjoys KK's performance tonight to support her through this difficult time for musicians by buying her music.
Watch KK Lewis on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions – live from the Hot Press Instagram tonight at 7.30pm.
