U2 to headline NFL's Thanksgiving Eve game live on Netflix
Their new album Carnaval de Luz will be released on November 13.
U2 have announced that they will headline the NFL's first Thanksgiving Eve game, which will be streamed live on Netflix on Wednesday, November 25.
The event will take place at SoFi Stadium in California, where the Green Bay Packers will face off against the Los Angeles Rams. U2 previously performed at the Super Bowl halftime show in February 2002.
Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos shared a statement about the upcoming show.
"There's a reason U2 has headlined stadiums for decades: they don't just perform, they deliver iconic moments audiences remember forever."
Beyoncé featured on Netflix's first Christmas Gameday in 2024. She played the halftime show of the Baltimore Ravens versus Houston Texans game. It was the first time material from her album Cowboy Carter was performed live.
Rapper Snoop Dogg performed at the 2025 Netflix Christmas Gameday, where the Detroit Lions faced off against the Minnesota Vikings. He was joined by several special guests including Kelly Clarkson, Martha Stewart, and the cast of KPOP Demon Hunters.

U2 will release their sixteenth studio album, Carnaval de Luz, on November 13. They dropped the record's third single 'The Greatest Show on Earth' along with an accompanying music video last Thursday.
The Dublin band also announced their Carnaval De Luz presents: The Greatest Show On Earth world tour last week. It will kick off in Mexico City in February 2027, before continuing on to São Paulo and Buenos Aires. Beck will support the group in all three cities.
Additional dates for Europe and North America are set to be announced in the coming weeks.
Last month, U2 marked their 50th anniversary as a band with surprise events in Dublin – including a performance at Bewley's on Grafton Street. Read Hot Press editor Niall Stokes' reflections on the celebrations here.
The extraordinary story of the band's first official gig as U2 – at a competition in Limerick in 1978 – is explored in the brand new book Becoming U2 by Brian O'Connell. Hardback and paperback editions are available to pre-order now through the Hot Press Shop
