Kendrick Closes First Evening of Electric Picnic
King Kendrick stuns at the Picnic
After an incredible first day of music, food and theatre, Kendrick Lamar closed the evening with a bang .
Thousands of fans ascended onto the Stradbally fields today for a weekend of festivities at Electric Picnic. With each camping site quickly filled up, the celebrations began with various artists taking to their respective platforms to play for delighted crowds.
Lamar was one of the true selling points of this year's festival line-up, being one of their famous additions in years.
Taking to the stage amidst a display of fire and pyrotechnics, Lamar launched into an energetic set of his best known hits. Performing songs such as DNA, Love, and the sensational, Humble, Lamar stunned crowds, cementing his title of King Kendrick.
Crowds gathered at the Main Stage before the US mega-star made his entrance. The audience were euphoric, screaming the lyrics along with Lamar. Not even the gloomy skies or drizzling rain could dampen the spirits of the crowds.
Other artists who appeared on the Main Stage throughout the evening include Brand New Friends, Ashes, Chvrches and Walking On Cars.
International superstar Dua Lipa and music group Massive Attack are set to take to the stage tomorrow evening.
