Kate Melua's star remains firmly in the ascent with an October 12 visit to Belfast's Waterfront Hall.

It's something of a homecoming for the 19-year-old who moved to Belfast from her native Georgia as a child.

2004 has definitely been Melua's year with her debut album, Call Of The Search, selling 1.2 million copies in the UK alone.
