A "serious back injury" has forced Kamasi Washington to postpone performance his upcoming Irish shows until April.
"Due to a serious back injury, Kamasi Washington regrets to announce the postponement of his shows in Europe this Fall to Spring of 2025," a statement from his agent reads. As part of Cork Jazz Festival, he was also set to perform at the Cork Opera House on Friday, October 25. Festival organisers have rescheduled the event to April 9, 2025. Ticket holders can transfer their tickets to the new date or avail of a full refund.
Festival director Mark Murphy added, “It’s unfortunate that Kamasi is unable to perform during the festival, but we look forward to welcoming him next April as we launch the 2025 Guinness Cork Jazz Festival programme.”
