The Script beat Phoebe Bridgers to No. 1 on the Irish Albums Chart

The Script’s The User’s Guide to Being Human has taken the No.1 spot over Phoebe Bridgers’ Lost Weekend on the Official Irish Albums Chart.

This makes The Script’s eighth No. 1 album on the Irish charts.

The User’s Guide to Being Human, released on August 14, is an 11-track record anchored by lead single ‘Man In The Arena’.

Lost Weekend, also released August 14, marks Bridgers’ first new album in six years since 2020’s Punisher, which peaked at No. 6 on the Irish Albums Chart.

Making the No. 3 spot on the chart is Katseye’s Wild, coming in No. 4 is Olivia Rodrigo’s You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love and No. 5 is Amble’s Reverie.

On the Irish Independent Albums Chart, The Script and Bridgers also took the top two spots. Elsewhere on the chart, Ultras takes No. 6 with I Love Where I’m From.

“The User’s Guide to Being Human is a heart-felt record that happens to have more than a few potential hit singles up its sleeve,” wrote Hot Press in a review of the album. “Fans will doubtless adore it.”

This autumn, The Script will kick off their Man In The Arena Tour with two dates at Dublin’s 3Arena on October 30 and 31, before playing at The O2 Belfast on November 2. On December 10, they will return to Dublin for a special intimate show at The Grand Social.

On November 23 and 24, Bridgers will also play two headline shows at Dublin’s 3Arena as part of The Lost Tour. Both performances will feature special guest Isaac Wood.
