John Lydon: Tony Blair turned me off Britain
The punk icon says the former British PM should be in the "Hague along with the Serbian blokes."
Speaking in the new issue of Hot Press, John Lydon is in typically incendiary form. The subject of his ire this time around is Tony Blair, with the former Sex Pistols singer admitting that he has no respect for the former British Prime Minister.
"He should be in the fucking Hague along with the Serbian blokes," says Lydon. "The Human Rights Court is the only place for him. It makes my blood boil. It's probably not a good thing to get yourself wound up, but just look at the smug bastard! He took a Labour government to war; well done! Blair turned me off Britain completely. I'm no Tory but I couldn't believe he was voted in."
Currently promoting his new autobiography, Anger Is An Energy: My Life Uncensored, Lydon also discussed the passing of Primal Scream's Robert Young, how he never sold out and more.
