John Legend at No. 1
The sensitive soul-man storms to the top of the Irish Singles Chart.
Having claimed the No.3 position last week John Legend’s All of Me has moved its way to coveted number one spot having ousted over-sized hat model/ song and dance man Pharell’s seemingly ubiquitous 'Happy'. Pharrell’s summery earworm has slid down to a third place finish this week.
It’s also been a bumper week for Irish releases as the Bray-born pop sensation Hozier maintains his upward momentum, with his latest single From Eden moving from No.3 to No.2. The highest new entry also comes courtesy of an Irish act in the shape of Hot Press favourites O.R.B (formerly Original Rude Boys) as their latest slice of acoustic hip-pop makes an impression arriving in at the No.5 position.
British production duo Sigma also made an impressive leap of 10 places from No. 19 to No.9 with their old school floor filler Nobody to Love. All in all a week of major upheaval across the chart as a whole.
