Izzard adds second Dubin date
Eddie Izzard has announced a second Dublin date in December 2009.
Izzard has sold out the first performance of his Stripped show at the O2 on December 14 and will now do an additional show Tuesday December 15.
Izzard, widely considered one of the died-in-the-wool geniuses of contemporary British comedy, recently broke box office records, selling out a five-week residency in London’s West End in less than forty- eight hours. The Irish dates are part of a UK and Ireland tour, Eddie’s first in six years.
Initially renowned as a comedian, Izzard is also now equally respected as a film, theatre and TV actor. His hugely successful FX Networks drama The Riches, in which he stars alongside Minnie Driver as a con artist member of an Irish traveller family in the US, is screened all over the world and he was recently seen on the big screen starring opposite Tom Cruise in Valkyrie.
Tickets for the Dublin show are priced €40 including booking fee, and go on sale this Friday July 17 at 9am. Izzard also plays the Odyssey Arena, Belfast December 12, with tickets priced at £33 including booking fee.
