Star Wars Millennium Falcon Lands on Donegal's Malin Head.

Star Wars has found a home away from the galaxies in our wee island as production gets underway in Donegal for its latest installment.
The final scene for Star Wars: The Force Awakens took place on the national heritage site of Skellig Michael. It opened our little treasure to thousands of potential tourists and has done wonders for Ireland's tourism. Now, it is expected that hordes of fans will make their way to Malin Head in order to catch a glimpse of the Millennium Falcon.
With no exact dates given for filming, what is obvious is that filming for Episode VIII is imminent. There's close to 300 film crew residing in the small town of Malin with locals of the town involved in filming having to sign confidentiality agreements. However, photos have leaked on Twitter of some very exciting stuff happening on the rural coastline.

Locals are filled with anticipation and excitement with all the Star Wars buzz that's circulating Malin Head. Continuation of Star Wars using Ireland as a shooting location will do wonders for Ireland's tourism and will no doubt draw other production companies to see the potential our Green Isle beholds.
