Irish radio stations to play 'When You're Gone' tribute to Dolores O'Riordan at midday
The Cranberries star's funeral takes place this morning.
As a celebration of Dolores' remarkable life and career, the country's independent radio stations are joining forces with 2fm to play the Cranberries' 1996 hit, 'When You're Gone', en masse today at noon.
There were touching scenes in Limerick last night as around 200 fans gathered on Arthur's Quay for a mass Cranberries singalong, which included a gorgeous 'Dreams'.
The musical tributes continue with English singer-songwriter Moncrieff - no relation! - rush recording a stunning cover of 'Linger'.
We'll be reporting on the sad events in Limerick throughout the day.
I've only heard it happen a handful of times. All independent radio stations in Ireland tomorrow at midday will play @The_Cranberries #whenyouregone in respect to @DolORiordan #rip
