Irish band Spies debut new single 'Barricade'
Single launch at Whelans details also!
Dundrum five-piece Spies continue to make us very excited here at HP with their new release. The broody, sinister and ever so casually sexy rumble of new single 'Barricade' has a clear Interpol circa-'02 snipe to it (ironically the NY band also released a new single called 'Barricade' in the last year) but is still another great track by the boys and only whets our appetite for a debut album hopefully coming soon.
The single is out now and can be bought over on [link]http://spies.bandcamp.com/[/link] and the band are having a single launch this Saturday April 23 at Whelan's. Admission for the gig is €8 which includes a free copy of the single which also features B-side 'Weaker Body'. Doors are at 8pm and the boys are also planning a Tower Records instore on the same day. Check out the majestic, rolling might of 'Barricades' on [link]http://breakingtunes.com/spies[/link].
