Irish-assisted Josh Groban album storms US Billboard 200
Declan O’Rourke’s ‘Galileo’ features on the No. 4 album
The new Rick Rubin produced album from singer Josh Groban went straight in at No.4 on the US Billboard 200 album chart, with a little help from Irish artists. Groban’s fifth studio album,. Illuminations includes two tracks written by Irish songsmiths.
The gorgeous ‘Galileo’, penned by Declan O’Rourke and Seamus Cotter made the album proper, whilst ‘Le Cose Sei Per Me (The Things You Are To Me)’, written by Brendan Graham and Rolf Lovland made it as a bonus track on the exclusive Fans Only edition of the record.
Groban’s signature song, ‘You Raise Me Up’, also written by Graham and Lovland, earned a National Music Publishers Association of America Platinum Award for single sales of over a million in the USA earlier this year.
