Irish acts Amble, Aaron Rowe and BIIRD to support Ed Sheeran in North America
The Irish artists are said to have met Sheeran during the Fleadh Ceoil in WExford earlier in the year.
Irish acts Amble, Aaron Rowe and BIIRD will all be supporting Ed Sheeran on his Loop tour in North America next year.
Commencing in June 2026, the string of dates will also feature opening slots for Myles Smith, Macklemore, Sigird, Lukas Graham and and Ellie Bank.
Folk trio Amble will be supporting Sheeran on June 13 and 20 in Glendale and Nashville. Trad supergroup BIIRD meanwhile, are on the bill for six gigs between August 20 and September 4, across Toronto, Detroit and East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Dublin singer-songwriter Rowe, who first connected with Sheeran after the star heard a demo of his track 'The Lane', is set to open for Sheeran on all dates of the tour.
“Since that day he’s become a mentor, a best pal and a brother,” said Rowe on social media. “Someone who always has my back and will always find time. I'll never forget what you’ve done for me bro and I’m so honoured to be on these shows. America see you next year x”
The trio of Irish artists are said to have met Sheeran during the Fleadh Ceoil in Wexford earlier in the year, where the superstar made an surprise appearance at The Sky And The Ground pub.
Sheeran released his latest album Play on September 12, with the record topping the charts in Ireland and the UK. As well as his stadium tour in the States next year, he's set to play five of "intimate" gigs across the UK and Europe at the end of 2025, including a sold-out show in Dublin's 3Arena on December 9.
