IMRO Showcase finale for The Village

This year's IMRO Showcase Tour climaxes with a May 29 'Best Of' bash in the Dublin Village.
Reckoned by many observers to be the strongest Showcase line-up yet, the featured acts are Alphastates, Fighting With Wire, Stars Of The City, Contraband, Mainline, Stanley Super 800, Life After Modeling and Me In The Park.

Says one A&R man: "The UK record companies who missed out on The Thrills and Snow Patrol are desperate not to repeat the mistake, so there's going to be a huge number of industry people flying in for the night. I'd be very surprised if at least two of the bands playing at The Village aren't signed in the next few months."
