<i>House of Cards</i> Opening Now Has Lyrics

Ever wondered what the lyrics to that gloomy theme tune to House of Cards would be? Something that could really capture that sense of impending doom?

Well, wonder no longer as Father John Misty has penned the lyrics quite fittingly.
The indie rockstar and House of Cards superfan put his pen to good use over the weekend to grant us meaning to that overdrawn opening. The former Fleet Foxes drummer is on a serious roll between these lyrics and being accredited to Beyoncé's 'Hold Up'. Whether these could ever become 'official' lyrics to the Netflix hit series theme song is debatable but it's fun trying to sing along. Do not read any further if you aren't up-to-date with President Underwood's antics because FJM takes serious inspiration from the plot (i.e. spoilers are below).
