Hunger Games cast pays tribute to Paris attack victims
The cast of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 paid tribute to the victims of the Paris terrorist attacks last night at the US premiere of the film.
Stars of the hit franchise, including Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks and Woody Harrelson had cancelled all media interviews for the downtown L.A. event out of respect for the victims, but despite their silence they made sure their solidarity for France and the victims of last Friday’s attacks rang loud and clear. The actors, as well as author Suzanne Collins, all took to the red carpet wearing Mockingjay ribbons adorned with the French flag in honour of the victims.
Banks, who plays Effie Trinket in the hugely successful YA franchise, tweeted “Our hearts are with you France where we have so many amazing fans.”
