Hot shots 2004: Life After Modelling

Formed as Deputy Fuzz in 1999 out of a mutual love of all things bizarre, their 2002 debut Music For Toys was a short, sharp delight. Defiantly lo-fi in recording quality, music and song writing, it made an enthusiastic leap off the deep end and has never climbed back out. With the small powerhouse of a record company Catchy Go Go behind them, the band changed their name last summer but continued to gig regularly, including a successful slot at the ‘In The City’ event in Manchester. They were also part of what was perhaps 2003’s defining domestic moment, Hard Working Class Heroes.
About to go into the studio to work on new material, Life After Modelling may never be the stuff of mainstream acclaim but look set to develop their own unique vision even further.
